Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscaping
- Operate light equipment (shovels, brooms, hand tools) safely
- Maintain roads, sidewalks, parks, and public facilities
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Assess infrastructure conditions and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople on city projects
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous tasks
- Experience with construction tools preferred but not required
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida climate (heat, humidity)
- Basic math and measurement skills
