Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, street sweeping, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, jackhammers, etc.) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in snow removal and emergency weather response operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Support waste management and recycling initiatives across the city
- Maintain clean and organized work zones following OSHA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance
- Prior public works or construction experience preferred
