Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance including pothole repairs, line painting, and snow removal
- Operate heavy machinery (dump trucks, graders, loaders) with proper safety protocols
- Conduct park facility upkeep and green space management
- Assist in water/sewer infrastructure inspection and minor repairs
- Maintain city vehicles and equipment according to maintenance schedules
- Respond to emergency weather conditions and disaster relief efforts
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
