Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including sweeping streets, cleaning storm drains, and maintaining public parks and greenways.
- Assist in traffic control operations, flagging duties, and temporary barricading during construction and maintenance activities.
- Operate light equipment such as brooms, rollers, and jackhammers under strict supervision.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at various job sites throughout Tucson.
- Assist in pothole repair, asphalt patching, and general street maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Arizona Class D Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting 50 lbs and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
