Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely
- Assist in construction and repair of public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage)
- Ensure job sites comply with OSHA safety standards
- Load/unload materials and maintain organized workspaces
- Participate in emergency response and stormwater management operations
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety checks
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and work in a team environment
- Clean background check and no felony convictions
