Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and drainage system maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, dump trucks, jackhammers) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, and stormwater management projects
- Conduct daily site inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city-wide improvement initiatives
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic maintenance checks
- Adhere to OSHA standards and departmental safety guidelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with heavy equipment operation or construction labor
- Basic knowledge of road maintenance and safety procedures
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
