Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of municipal roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including asphalt spreaders, graders, and jackhammers safely
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during inclement weather or public safety incidents
- Coordinate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and compliance documentation
- Train junior staff on proper equipment operation and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification in civil technology preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in municipal infrastructure maintenance
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrakes endorsement
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- District residency required within 90 days of hire
- Pass background check and drug screening
