Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of public parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including tractors, mowers, and trenching equipment
- Conduct routine inspections of street infrastructure and drainage systems
- Implement erosion control measures and landscape restoration projects
- Coordinate with engineering teams on municipal improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and CAL-OSHA safety regulations
- Prepare detailed maintenance reports and inventory documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years maintenance experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Certification in landscape maintenance or heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and horticultural practices
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with municipal permitting processes
- First Aid/CPR certification required
