Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city streets, parks, and public buildings to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including dump trucks and loaders, with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls and inclement weather events, such as snow removal and flooding.
- Inspect and repair water, sewer, and storm drain systems to prevent service interruptions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Ohio Driver's License (Class B preferred) with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in public works, general maintenance, or construction is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow technical instructions.
