Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including sweepers, mowers, and light construction equipment
- Respond to emergency repairs during extreme weather events
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain accurate maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or facility maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery (CDL Class B beneficial)
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and landscaping
