Responsibilities
- Maintain city parks, streets, and public facilities ensuring cleanliness and safety
- Operate heavy equipment and specialized machinery for landscaping and construction projects
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on city infrastructure
- Respond to emergency repairs and weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban development initiatives
- Enforce municipal codes and safety regulations during field operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational certification preferred
- Valid Arizona Class C driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Experience in groundskeeping, equipment operation, or construction maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and landscaping principles
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
