Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment for street maintenance and construction projects
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of municipal facilities and roadways
- Implement traffic control measures and ensure public safety during operations
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Class C California Driver's License with clean record
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works or construction maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate heavy equipment (e.g., dump trucks, graders)
- Strong knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
