Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including graders, loaders, and trenchers
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during weather events
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document maintenance activities using digital reporting systems
- Participate in community outreach initiatives for public awareness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of public works or construction experience
- Valid Class C California Driver's License (Class A/B preferred)
- Certification in traffic control and flagging (TCII)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and maintenance software
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
