Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (snow plows, graders, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency service calls during severe weather events
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal properties and equipment
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with other city departments on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, construction, or related field
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Pennsylvania residency required within 6 months of hire
