Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including snowplows, graders, and street sweepers
- Conduct inspections of municipal infrastructure and report maintenance needs
- Respond to emergency weather events and public safety concerns
- Assist in park maintenance and green space management
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Massachusetts Class B CDL license
- 2+ years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Clean driving record and background check required
