Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of municipal equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, pavement breakers, and snow removal machinery.
- Operate heavy machinery and vehicles in accordance with all safety regulations and operational manuals.
- Clean and maintain public streets, alleys, and right-of-way areas to ensure a safe and accessible environment for residents.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and service calls promptly and efficiently.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to extend the lifespan of city assets and vehicles.
- Assist in various public works projects, including paving, grading, and landscaping support.
- Adhere to all OSHA safety standards and departmental policies at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Arizona Class C Driverβs License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Experience operating heavy equipment or performing maintenance duties is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Strong commitment to public service, safety, and quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
