Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and traffic signs.
- Assist in landscaping, mowing, and beautification of public parks and right-of-ways.
- Operate and maintain light and heavy-duty equipment, including dump trucks, jackhammers, and mowers.
- Clear snow and ice from streets, parking lots, and walkways during inclement weather.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and OSHA standards.
- Inspect municipal facilities and report needed repairs to supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
- Previous experience in maintenance, landscaping, or construction preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Ability to pass a post-offer medical examination.
