Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of streets, sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems.
- Inspect and maintain traffic signs, traffic signals, and street lighting fixtures.
- Operate heavy machinery and light equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, and jackhammers.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and public work complaints.
- Assist with park maintenance, including trash removal and minor landscaping tasks.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete large-scale municipal projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, as well as light construction techniques.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a strong plus but not required.
- Strong commitment to public service and attention to detail.
