Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of City streets, sidewalks, and alleys.
- Operate heavy machinery, including pick-up trucks, skid steers, and street sweepers.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather.
- Install, repair, and maintain traffic signs, guardrails, and traffic control devices.
- Collect and properly dispose of trash and debris from public rights-of-way.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, landscaping, or general maintenance.
- Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
