Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including graders, rollers, and sweepers, safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and reconstruction of streets, sidewalks, and curbs.
- Inspect and clear storm drains, ditches, and catch basins to prevent flooding and ensure proper drainage.
- Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with OSHA safety regulations and municipal standards.
- Assist in snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather events.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and machinery.
- Collaborate with other public works crews and supervisors to complete large-scale infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) is highly preferred.
- One year of verifiable experience in road maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills.
