Responsibilities
- Oversee municipal infrastructure projects including roads, water systems, and public facilities
- Manage departmental budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state regulations
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, environmental, and community relations
- Develop long-term sustainability plans for city infrastructure
- Represent the city in public forums and regulatory hearings
- Implement emergency response protocols for public works crises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Public Administration
- 5+ years experience in municipal government or public works
- Valid Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Proven budget management exceeding $1M annually
- Strong knowledge of FEMA and EPA compliance standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with GIS and infrastructure management software
