Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and execution of public infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, parks)
- Manage departmental budget allocation and fiscal accountability
- Coordinate with federal/state agencies for grant compliance and funding
- Supervise 50+ staff across engineering, construction, and maintenance divisions
- Develop emergency response protocols for critical infrastructure systems
- Implement sustainability initiatives for long-term resource management
- Present reports to city council and community stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Public Administration (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years municipal infrastructure management experience
- Valid Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Federal/state grant management certification
- Proven budget oversight exceeding $10M annually
- OSHA 30-hour construction safety certification
- Advanced knowledge of ADA/Federal Transit Administration standards
