Responsibilities
- Manage $5M+ capital projects including road repairs, drainage systems, and public facility upgrades
- Coordinate cross-departmental teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Oversee project budgets, timelines, and compliance with municipal regulations
- Conduct site inspections and resolve construction issues proactively
- Prepare progress reports for City Council and community stakeholders
- Implement sustainable infrastructure practices and ADA compliance
- Leverage data analytics to optimize project efficiency and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in public works or government
- CA Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification required
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of California municipal procurement processes
- Exceptional communication skills for public presentations and negotiations
- Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets with strict compliance requirements
