Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal vehicles and specialized equipment (street sweepers, mowers, etc.)
- Perform preventative maintenance on public infrastructure (parks, roads, facilities)
- Respond to citizen service requests within SLA timeframes
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on large-scale projects
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Georgia Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or facilities maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Proficient with GIS mapping and mobile data collection tools
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Clear background check and drug-free workplace compliance
