Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain public works equipment including trucks, sweepers, and heavy machinery
- Perform infrastructure inspections and maintenance on roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Respond to emergency public works incidents (e.g., weather-related damage)
- Document work activities and maintain accurate service records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on city improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of equipment operation or maintenance experience
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with airbrake endorsement
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of public works safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and variable weather
