Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum machine learning models for optimization and pattern recognition
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits for AI acceleration
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams in prototyping quantum neural networks
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals/conferences
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-AI hybrid systems
- Secure and manage $10M+ in research grants from NSF/NIH/DARPA
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum algorithm development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit/Cirq
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed venues
- Proficiency in quantum error correction and fault-tolerance techniques
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Rigetti, IonQ, or similar)
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research funding
- Strong background in high-performance computing architectures
