Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures using superconducting and photonic qubits
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with materials scientists to optimize qubit coherence times
- Create quantum software interfaces for enterprise integration
- Lead security protocols for post-quantum cryptography implementations
- Present architectural blueprints to C-suite executives and government agencies
- Mentor junior quantum engineers in cutting-edge techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Proficiency with Q#, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm, Grover's algorithm, and quantum supremacy
- Strong background in topological quantum computing and braiding operations
- Security clearance preferred for government contract work
