Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures using superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop quantum-classical hybrid algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and drug discovery
- Lead quantum security protocols resistant to 2026-era cyber threats
- Integrate quantum processors with cloud computing platforms (AWS Braket, Azure Quantum)
- Mentor junior quantum engineers on error correction techniques and decoherence management
- Collaborate with materials science teams to optimize qubit fabrication processes
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, Cirq) and algorithm design
- Proficiency with quantum circuit simulation tools (Qiskit, IBM Quantum Experience)
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and quantum control systems
- Strong background in machine learning for quantum state tomography
- Security clearance eligibility for government quantum projects
