Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
- Develop error mitigation strategies for quantum coherence beyond 1000-qubit systems
- Collaborate with product teams to commercialize quantum solutions in finance and healthcare
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature conferences
- Mentor next-generation quantum researchers through our fellowship program
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (10+ years industry experience)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proven track record leading quantum computing projects with Fortune 100 partners
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience securing federal research grants and managing multi-million dollar budgets
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant roadmap
- Strong patent portfolio in quantum technologies (5+ granted patents)
