Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in finance, healthcare, and materials science
- Design and optimize quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 1000+ qubits
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP conferences
- Secure $20M+ in government grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish internship programs with top universities
- Develop quantum security frameworks for post-2026 digital infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing research funding ($5M+)
- Strong background in superconducting qubit or photonic quantum systems
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary technical teams of 10+ members
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and 2026 roadmap challenges
