Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop error-corrected quantum processors operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum-resistant cryptography standards for 2026 deployment
- Drive quantum machine learning integration with classical supercomputing infrastructure
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum gate architectures and cooling systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals on quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Proven track record of translating theoretical models into functional quantum hardware
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques below 10mK
- Experience securing DoD or NSF quantum computing grants ($500K+)
- Strong background in tensor networks and quantum simulation methodologies
