Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science) and present at international conferences
- Secure federal and corporate grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead cross-functional research projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and classical simulation tools
- Published record in quantum information science or related fields
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement, superposition, and decoherence
- Strong Python/C++ skills with high-performance computing experience
- Ability to secure $500K+ in research funding
