Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims through rigorous benchmarking
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate quantum decoherence effects in 50+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise-scale deployments
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure patents in quantum information science
- Mentor cross-functional teams on quantum principles and implementation strategies
- Secure $2M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA for 2026 quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and GPU acceleration
