Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms targeting NISQ-era hardware limitations
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical frameworks into executable quantum protocols
- Develop error mitigation techniques for 1000+ qubit systems by 2026
- Collaborate with industry partners to prototype quantum solutions for real-world applications
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier quantum computing journals and conferences
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum computing or adjacent fields
- Expertise in high-performance computing and parallel processing frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to model complex quantum systems mathematically
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
