Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Lead experiments on superconducting quantum processors at 15-millikelvin temperatures
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to calibrate quantum qubits and reduce decoherence
- Publish research in Nature Physics and top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum materials
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with low-level hardware integration
- Experience with cryogenic quantum measurement systems
