Responsibilities
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants ($2M+ target annually)
- Mentor junior researchers and build cross-functional innovation teams
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into practical applications for finance, healthcare, and logistics sectors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware constraints (superconducting, photonic, ion trap)
- Strong background in complexity theory and computational mathematics
