Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize quantum algorithms for practical applications in logistics, drug discovery, and financial modeling
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with error correction capabilities
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Present findings at international quantum computing symposia
- Patent at least 3 novel quantum methodologies per year
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of quantum research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and error mitigation techniques
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and GPU acceleration
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental implementations
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
