Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant cybersecurity solutions
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, PRL)
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical models with physical qubit implementations
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Strong track record of securing competitive research funding
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
