Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum software with next-gen processors
- Lead research publications in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD candidates and build quantum computing curricula for universities
- Translate theoretical models into practical applications for finance, healthcare, and AI sectors
- Secure $1M+ in government research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction (arXiv/IEEE)
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and variational quantum eigensolvers
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing optimization
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Strong track record of securing government research funding
