Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to mitigate decoherence and error correction challenges
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent disclosures for breakthrough innovations
- Develop quantum software frameworks compatible with industry-standard QASM
- Present research findings at premier conferences including Q2B and IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum control systems
- Experience with quantum annealing and D-Wave systems preferred
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and statistical mechanics
