Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum machine learning frameworks
- Conduct advanced simulations using quantum annealing systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum cryptography or quantum machine learning
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm and Grover's search principles
- Experience with superconducting qubit manipulation and calibration
- Strong background in topological quantum error correction methods
- Ability to secure federal research funding through competitive grants
