Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for federal networks and hardware systems in a remote environment.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot operating systems, firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure remote access for federal employees.
- Collaborate with the State IT Department to standardize software deployments and security protocols.
- Monitor system performance and respond to incidents to minimize downtime for federal operations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, security policies, and incident reports.
- Participate in regular security audits and compliance training to meet federal standards (FISMA, NIST).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with federal or state government IT environments (preferred).
- Valid US Work Authorization (Citizenship/Permanent Resident) required for federal roles.
- Strong knowledge of network security, VPNs, and remote access technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret/Top Secret) if required.
