Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Coordinate police, fire, and EMS resources during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) records
- Provide life-saving instructions via emergency medical protocols
- Operate radio communication systems under pressure
- Collaborate with multi-agency responders during complex situations
- Adhere to NIMS and POST certification standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass extensive background check and drug screening
- Valid Alaska driver's license (must maintain throughout employment)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and multi-tasking software
- Exceptional calmness during high-stress scenarios
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights/holidays
