Key Responsibilities
As a Remote IT Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues via remote assistance tools.
- Manage and troubleshoot endpoints, including laptops, tablets, and mobile devices, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose complex technical problems and implement scalable solutions.
- Conduct regular system audits and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Document all technical procedures, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with remote desktop software (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk) and Help Desk ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen and possess the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
