Responsibilities
- Operate heavy-duty garbage trucks and collection vehicles along assigned routes efficiently and safely.
- Collect, load, and transport residential and commercial waste, recyclables, and yard debris to designated disposal sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure operational safety and compliance.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including traffic management and hazard identification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the truck cab and work area.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and fellow crew members regarding route changes or delays.
- Assist in special cleanup operations and storm response efforts as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but we offer training for qualified candidates.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Physically fit and capable of performing heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Must possess a good driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to punctuality, reliability, and teamwork.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
