Responsibilities
- Conduct physical security assessments at federal facilities in the Long Beach area
- Implement and monitor surveillance systems and access control protocols
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency response drills
- Prepare detailed security reports and incident documentation
- Train personnel on security procedures and emergency protocols
- Conduct vulnerability analyses and recommend mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with federal security regulations (FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-53)
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a federal security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of security or law enforcement experience
- Valid California driver's license
- Certification in Physical Security (CPP) or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency in security software systems (e.g., Genetec, Milestone)
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergencies 24/7
- Strong written communication skills for report drafting
