Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate the daily administrative functions of the division, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with city protocols.
- Manage complex budgets, prepare financial reports, and ensure fiscal responsibility through rigorous monitoring of expenditures.
- Supervise and mentor a diverse team of administrative staff, conducting performance reviews and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Act as the primary liaison between department leadership and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and city agencies.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks.
- Prepare high-level correspondence, memos, and presentations for executive leadership and public forums.
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies governing public sector operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in government administration, public sector management, or a comparable executive role.
- Proven experience in budget management, personnel supervision, and strategic planning within a large-scale organization.
- Strong knowledge of New York City government structure, laws, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and government-specific database systems.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
