Responsibilities

- Manage business licensing, permit issuance, and municipal compliance documentation
- Serve as primary liaison for public records requests under Wisconsin's open records law
- Oversee the city's automated record management system and document retention policies
- Coordinate with legal counsel on legislative tracking and ordinance codification
- Train staff on record-keeping protocols and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field required
- Minimum 5 years municipal or government records management experience
- Wisconsin Municipal Clerk certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Expert knowledge of Wisconsin election laws and open records statutes
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Exceptional written communication skills for drafting official documents
