Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, and public documents with meticulous accuracy
- Oversee municipal elections including ballot preparation, polling coordination, and results certification
- Serve as primary liaison between citizens and city council, ensuring responsive communication
- Administer oaths, issue permits/licenses, and maintain compliance with state statutes
- Lead digital transformation of records systems while preserving historical archives
- Coordinate city council meetings, agendas, and minute documentation
- Train staff on records management protocols and public records request procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years municipal/government administrative experience
- Colorado Notary Public certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Expert knowledge of Colorado Sunshine Law and municipal governance protocols
- Proven experience managing election processes and public records requests
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
