Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, permits, and documentation with meticulous attention to detail and regulatory compliance
- Provide exceptional constituent services via in-person, phone, and digital communication channels
- Coordinate public meetings and hearings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up documentation
- Maintain departmental databases and implement record-keeping systems for audit readiness
- Process administrative paperwork for permits, licenses, and municipal services
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on policy implementation and public outreach
- Support election administration and voter registration initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of municipal or government administrative experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and municipal record-keeping software
- California Notary Public certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
- Strong organizational skills with experience handling high-volume documentation
- Knowledge of California Public Records Act and municipal regulations
